Ty Wooten is the Director of Government Affairs for the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) and has been working in the public safety arena for nearly 30 years. Previously, Ty was the Director of Education for NENA: The 9‐1‐1 Association, overseeing the development and delivery of public safety training for students worldwide. Before working at NENA, Ty was the Principal of Public Safety Consulting and Management, providing consulting services that included PSAP consolidation, access control, and management planning. Ty has also held various positions in law enforcement: as a firefighter, an EMT, and a hostage negotiator.
